When in 1863, Abraham Lincoln proclaimed the last Thursday of every November as a national holiday known as Thanksgiving, America was in the midst of a Civil War that tested this nation as it has never been tested before or since.

Now in this year 2020, let us be thankful for all our blessings personally and collectively as a nation, and pray that we find the wisdom and strength to agree to disagree at every turn, while upholding and cherishing the freedom and liberties that our founding fathers envisioned, and for which many patriots of all stripes gave their life.

We should do so because as Lincoln himself said, “…that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from earth.”

With that said, the entire QCP team will be taking the four-day holiday off. Look for our newsletter and posts to return bright and early on Monday morning!
